Diversity and Abundance of Mosquitoes in the Seaport Area of San Pedro (Côte d’Ivoire)

Introduction: As part of the implementation arbovirus vector surveillance at Seaport San Pedro by International Health Regulations, entomological surveys were conducted from March to July 2018 determine diversity and abundance putative vectors. Method: Mosquitoes collected as immatures adult stages in activity residential areas Pédro platform. Results:A total 7 14 species mosquitoes respectively, with a dominance genera Culex (5 area 10 area). Only Aedes aegypti had high frequency occurrence 47.29% 61.97% area. This was accessory regular areas. The diversities indices higher 1.27, 0.64, 0.48 respectively for Shannon’s Index, Simpson’s Equitability Index. accounted 78.42% mosquitos 49.47% those an exophilic respective 88.32% 75.21%. Conclusion: constitutes permanent health threat that requires appropriate control actions.
